Poetry After Auschwitz

Poetry After Auschwitz

"When even genocide becomes cultural property
in committed literature, it becomes easier to
continue complying with the culture that gave
rise to the murder."—Theodor Adorno

was it poetry
was it art that
blinded us
into inaction
into indifference
can we blame
our culture for
our darkness
can we write poetry
after Auschwitz
will silence solve
our inhumanity
to give up will be
to forget
our future
Kylie Supski
