Electric Cathedral | New Collaborative Choral Setting/VR/Digital Art/Poetry performance work for flexible delivery | ReVerse Butcher, Kevin Marsh & Kylie Supski
Here's a sneak peak at some very early concept artworks. Stay tuned!
I was absolutely honored to have had work featured in the VR Burn & reBURN (a 2nd show) in The Wave across the 7th & 14th of December 2019. It was a large art and music festival presented by the VR Art Live! Community & held entirely in VR - an immersive creative and social experience delivered in The Wave with options to attend 'in-person' by using a compatible HMD, or using a PC/Mac/Mobile device to veiw/attend in 2D. It featured 36 internationally located VR artists, 3 DJs, and all run by a dedicated team of volunteers. I also acted in a curator/support role as part of that team of incredible volunteers. If you'd like a timestamped video of the whole...
A three event live show featuring the bold & original poetic works of Kylie Supski, an experimental 8 channel sound composition by Roger Alsop, and psychedelic visual projections made in Tilt Brush/VR by ReVerse Butcher.
MAY 9 8pm AEDT (10+GMT) -The HyperVerses (Livestream Poetry Music Event). Tune in at: https://twitch.tv/reversebutcher to watch 3 poets & 1 musician make some noise.
Why should music have to stick to the same kind of notation that it has been written in for centuries? Why not make music look as it feels? Why those ascending lines and linked dots? After all, John Cage and Brian Eno started it.
For works that have not yet been played or heard, the notations are called Graphic Scores and are designed to be sight-read and played by a musician. For transcription or re-interpretation of works that the illustrator (rVb) is hearing and converting to an image, these works are called Sound Maps.
