In "Transcending Mediums", join ReVerse Butcher as she unpacks the philosophy behind her multi-dimensional, on-going sequence of XR artworks "The Circle Series." Embark on a deep dive of her creative process as she takes you through her unique blend of traditional methods & materials, through to the integration of bleeding edge XR & cinematic video techniques. ReVerse will also explore the importance of flexible delivery options, collaboration, & technical experimentation in creating future-facing fine artworks. See how she reimagined 4 x "Circle Series" artworks (that previously featured at the QLD XR Festival 2021-2023), and 2 x "Circle Series" works (currently featuring at the Australian XR Festival 2023) & remixed them into an experimental alternative to traditional IRL exhibition options, by presenting them as an immersive VR show at Kaleidosky. Kaleidosky is a VR music venue with a real-time video-feedbacked kaleidoscopic video skydome that runs experimental multi-arts shows weekly in VRChat. Ru's cutting-edge Kaleidosky VR world design, partnered with *Tera*'s amazing build, has created a unique set of creative & technical tools that enable a diverse range of international multimedia artists, all presenting their work live & immersively in VR every Sunday. Ru's astute & inclusive venue management ensures that she books a wide variety of experienced & emerging artists. A very special creative community has grown around Kaleidosky, & through the opportunities it's afforded many to share, collaborate, and learn from each other in an environment that transcends timezones, continents, and languages. ReVerse's "Circle Series Kaleidosky Remix" featured as part of the "VR Art & Culture Expo" on the 11 Nov 2023.
